The four bedrooms are split evenly between doubles and twins.

Two doubles sit alongside two twin rooms, one of which has kept its original cast iron fireplace also two have wood panelled feature walls.

Warm bedside lighting runs throughout all three bathrooms also hot water, with toiletries and essentials provided, which makes the morning routine far less of a negotiation when eight people are staying.

Living Space

Downstairs the living space is open plan, with comfortable seating, a TV and an indoor fireplace that earns its keep on a Yorkshire evening.

The kitchen is properly equipped, with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, wine glasses and all the everyday cookware, so cooking for a full house is genuinely straightforward.

There is a washing machine for longer stays, fast WiFi backed by Ethernet, and a dedicated workspace for anyone who will need to log on. Board games, an iron, hangers and clothing storage cover the rest.

Pets are welcome, parking is free on the street, and guests let themselves in via a lockbox at the rear of the property with instructions sent ahead of arrival.

The village itself is stone built and genuinely quiet, with the essentials close by and open moorland beyond.

Oakworth station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway is one of the most photographed stops on the line thanks to its role in the Railway Children, and steam trains still pull in.

Haworth, the Brontë Parsonage Museum and the walk out to Top Withens sit just up the valley, footpaths run straight from the village, and the Peak District is also around fifty minutes away by car with the Yorkshire Dales an easy day out in the other direction.

  • Two bedrooms and bathrooms are set across more than one level, so guests should be comfortable with stairs.

    Although the lower apartment has wider doorframes and step free internal access and there are only two small steps at the entrance to the building.
